How it works

From your contract to your refund.

Four steps. We do the work; you only need to send us the agreement.

  1. 1Step 01

    Free contract review

You send us the agreement by WhatsApp. We analyse it and call you to explain whether there is something to claim, and how much.

  2. 2Step 02

    Engagement

If you decide to go ahead, we explain the terms by phone and you sign the engagement agreement online. Our fee is only due if you win.

  3. 3Step 03

    Claim and court proceedings

We first claim directly from the lender and, if it does not respond, the case goes to court. A lawyer admitted to the Spanish bar signs every step.

  4. 4Step 04

    Recovery

When the lender returns what it overcharged, you receive it. Only then is our fee deducted.

Who we are

A company built to make bank claims simple.

What stands behind every case we take on.

  • 01

    A registered company

Usuralia is a trade name of Usuralia International LLC, a limited liability company incorporated in the State of Florida, United States, serving consumers in Spain.

  • 02

    Lawyers admitted in Spain

Every claim is reviewed and signed by a lawyer admitted to the Spanish bar before it is sent to the lender or filed in court.

  • 03

    Technology with human review

We use software to read and organise agreements. No decision affecting a client is taken without review by a person.

  • 04

A client area for every case

Each client follows their case step by step online: status, documents, messages and the decisions that need their consent.

The law

The rules our claims are based on.

Spanish statute and Supreme Court case law, in brief. Our guides explain each point in detail.

Usury Act of 1908

A loan is void when its interest is notably higher than the normal rate of money and manifestly disproportionate. If so, the borrower only has to repay the capital received.

The six-point benchmark

The Spanish Supreme Court compares the APR of the agreement with the Bank of Spain average for the same type of credit, and takes a gap of more than six percentage points as its reference (judgments 258/2023 and 366/2026).

Five years to recover money

Nullity can be sought at any time, but amounts paid in excess can be recovered for the five years before the claim (Supreme Court judgment 350/2025).

Mortgage set-up costs

For mortgages signed before June 2019, the bank must refund land registry, agency and valuation costs in full and half of the notary fees (Supreme Court, 2019 to 2021).
